For Maple Story, there should be a PvP battle system...Either you challenge some one, a PvP Arena where the more you progress in the area, the more people can attack you...so lets say I'm in the first map, I'm level 40. A level 39-41 is able to start attacking me randomly. Im in the second map now. A level 38-42 can attack me. Third map, level 37-43 can attack. And vise versa in my case.

But, we all know this'll never happen.

Indeed, and each and every character in the game has different stats, even though they're in the same job. It's a little complicated further in to how players will fight one another down the road. The other problem is if Maple can handle that big of a load. It takes quite a bit of work for a system to power a PvP, especially one that's so complex as MapleStory.

But even still, they might be working on it.

I think i heard somewhere they have a pvp game thing but you have to purchase a pvp pass from nexon or something. And the person your fighting has to have one to.

Well, then they could have a system like that...a PvP arena, where you go in and ask some one to fight, of course there are limitations and requirments depending on your own skills and level. Both players are sent to an unmarked map, and battle. That could work too, and it may take alot less work, but they'd most likely make nexon passes, unless characters could buy/pick up tickets to fight others with mesos...but then they'd cost a lot.

yea we all know its impossible. runescape can PVP because their damages and hp are low, them hitting 30 is godly. in maplestory.. we have about 2k hp and your attack can hit like 4k. it just wont work

Maybe they could have some algorithm to calculate the ratios, and scale them down. Like scale the damage down.

Yeah it can't happen because of how much damage we do and how much hp every one has.

Which is frustrating because thatd be cool

I used to play runescape, and they have it so monsters and people kind of even out in hp and stuff.

Either way, it couldn't work.

Besides, I'm glad theres no PvP because if there was you know there would also be staking ( where you put objects up and whoever wins gets the objects ) and then the game would become a game where people would trick for power and objects, there would be a lot of scamming, people would just obsess with it and design characters so they could easily take there certain enemy down. Plus it would be unfair with sins like a sin that can only afford subis going against a sin with Ilbis and etc. There would be a lot of dexless sins, and just :angry: stuff like that to be more powerful.

Even so, I think it would be pretty cool though. Maybe they could scale down hits so certain levels hit about the same as each other or close, or just like sins scale down 1/5 damage and clerics scale down 1/4 (They are healers not killers). Just stuff like that.

If there would be a PvP then there could be ABSOLUTELY no STAKING or when you die LOSING YOUR ITEMS because it would turn the game into a fight for power.

It should NOT be a PvP because in HHG we all know for a fact that: HIGH LEVELS GO THERE TO SHOW OFF AND WE DON'T LIKE THAT DO WE???? so that's just like say.... a level 92 CB is fighting green mushrooms and I am a level 40 F/P Wizard and go up there to fight and suddenly.......BOOM I DIE (wth?) And so that's my idea of not having a PvP

actually PvP is possible if let say som1 of a high lvl wanna battle u but u hav to say yes before u PvP. I played a game called "Tales of Pirates". The PvP system works sumthing like that. There is also MvM in that game where u make a party and fight another party with the same number of members as ur party. ( like 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 )

Yeah but they'd find certain rules IF there was a PvP. Like you'd have to say yes Why would you even be at HHG at level 40 any way? to a fight or something or it would have to be like the deeper you go into whatever portal the more levels that can attack you.

It would be unfair no matter that they did. All the classes can deal enough to kill anybody their lvl in one or two hits, except warriors, who have way to much life. SO who wins? Warriors. Or, if status effects still worked, I/L mages would just freeze the opponent. That's why the 'PvP' can only really be a monster killing race.

It would work.
Mage Vs Warrior would be BALANCED.
Warrior = LOW MAGIC DEF
Mage = LOW WEP DEF
Thief and archer are about exactly the same with defense
